Melanie Hanf

My work explores the relationship between form, material and space.

With a background in object design and years of international experience in Hong Kong and China, I create contemporary sculptures defined by reduced lines, balanced proportions and a strong physical presence.

​

Influenced by natural principles such as the Fibonacci sequence, as well as my study of Tai Chi, meditation and Feng Shui, my work explores balance, movement and stillness.

​

Each piece is handcrafted, primarily in copper, silver, gold and stone.

​

I see my sculptures as quiet anchors in space — objects that invite us to pause, reconnect and become present.
